Hi, I am Mark Harrison - owner of Electri-Safe. Here is just a little bit of
information about my company, and my personal biography.
I was born and raised in Vernon, Connecticut - a small town just East of Hartford. After graduating high school, I went to college at Hofstra University for several years, majoring in economics.
The poor economy in the Northeast in the early 90's drew me to find a more vibrant area of the country to move to. Several friends of mine had moved to North Carolina in the early nineties, and I soon followed them, winding up in Raleigh in 1994.
At the urging of a friend whose company was looking for workers at the time, I started in the trade in 1994 as apprentice at a medium sized company in Raleigh called MC Electric. Having the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of electrical work was the key to learning the trade quickly. I passed my electrical license in 1999 in the minimum amount of time required - 5 years. In 2003, with two other partners, we formed our own company - Allied Electrical Services, specializing in electrical service work and small commercial electrical up-fitting.
After three years in business, the three partners decided to go our separate ways, and I left the company in 2006 to pursue an opportunity in electrical sales. This experience proved to be invaluable, as it provided me with the knowledge of how to get the best pricing on electrical tools and materials, a savings that I can then pass on to the customer.
Armed with this knowledge, and realizing the need for a quality, fairly priced, electrical repair and service company in the Raleigh area, I was once again struck with the urge to get back into business. In 2008 I formed Electri-Safe electrical service contractors.
Having spent time in virtually every aspect of the electrical trade, from residential service and re-models, to commercial fit-ups and upgrades, to large institutional and industrial projects, I have the experience to handle a wide variety of projects.
